This dramatic illustration shows the homesickness intensity of two groups of first-year campers: The red group received a camp's standard registration packet and got more and more homesick over the course of two weeks.  The blue group received the materials in the DVD-CD set "The Secret Ingredients of Summer Camp Success."  As you can see, the average homesickness intensity of this group was much less and decreased over time.  Source: Journal of Consulting & Clinical Psychology.
