Chris attended public school in Maine before earning his BA in psychology from Harvard University.  After a year conducting research on autism at the University of Massachusetts, Chris attended graduate school at UCLA and earned his PhD in clinical psychology.

 

ThurbsDVD179He then moved to Seattle to complete a residency and postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Washington School of Medicine.  There, he worked extensively with young burn survivors.

 

Chris is a member of several professional organizations, including the Society for Research in Child Development, the American Psychological Association, and the American Camp Association.  Currently, Chris works as a psychologist and teacher at Phillips Exeter Academy in Exeter, New Hampshire.  He teaches psychology, sees students for counseling, and conducts research on child and adolescent development.
